An international training that unites Global Justice, Integral Psychology and the Relational Approach

This international programme combines integral psychology and the relational approach to train you in the acquisition of practical skills that will enable you to apply global justice to impactful research and social, educational and business programmes at local and international levels for a global culture of peace. The programme is taught jointly by the Nodal Institute and the University of Barcelona (UB) for a three-week intensive stay in India (Auroville and Gujarat National Law University). The learning by doing methodology will guide the entire international stay.

In today’s context of social inequalities, environmental crises, geopolitical conflicts and ongoing human rights violations, global justice is fundamental to ensuring equal rights and opportunities for all. It is not only about addressing specific injustices, but also about transforming systemic structures that perpetuate lack of access to resources, exclusion and violations of rights. This global vision of justice requires a deep understanding of the interconnections between different social, economic and environmental realities, as well as tools to translate this knowledge into concrete actions with real impact. A practical application of integral psychology to the relational global justice paradigm.

With all these elements, this expertise allows us not only to understand the dynamics of today’s world, but also to intervene with a critical and innovative vision committed to a global culture of peace.

The goal is to offer a space to experience the epistemological paradigm of Global Justice. Where the bet is the human commitment for a model of sustainable development and in coherence with the fundamental principles of the charter of human rights for a culture of global peace that begins within people. The purpose is to investigate, discover, explore and practice relational ecology as a building vehicle for a Relational Global Justice.

Training directed by Dr. Ariadna Salvà (professor of the Department of Research and Diagnostic Methods in Education of the University of Barcelona, and director of the Nodal Institute), and co-directed by Dr. Pep Alsina (Vice-Dean of Innovation and Relations with Society of the Faculty of Education of the University of Barcelona).

Yes, enrollment is open to people from any country of residence. The training has an international focus and is designed to welcome participants from all over the world.

However, it is important to note that the program includes mandatory face-to-face modules that will take place in India, so students should plan their travel and expenses accordingly.

As for the online modules, these will be scheduled taking into account the time diversity of the participants to facilitate their participation from different regions of the world. This combination of online and face-to-face training ensures an accessible and enriching learning experience in an international environment.

Upon completion of the training, participants will obtain a double accreditation: an expert degree awarded by the University of Barcelona (UB) and a certificate issued by the Institut Nodal, an institution specialized in global justice and integral psychology.

In addition, the expert degree offers the possibility of being part of the emergent research group Awareness and Global Justice (AGJ), an academic and innovative space oriented to the analysis and practical application of global justice in various fields. Yes, the international stay in India is a mandatory requirement to complete the expert degree. The face-to-face training modules will take place in this country and will have to be carried out in person on the established dates, from July 17 to August 7, 2025.

The program combines online and face-to-face training. The virtual modules can be taken independently according to the schedule, but the bulk of the training will take place during their stay in India, where participants will receive an immersive and applied experience. For this reason, it is essential that students travel and attend the scheduled sessions in person.

Our training takes place in Auroville, an international city located in southern India, recognized by UNESCO as a “city for human unity”. Auroville is a unique experiment that seeks to promote international understanding, peace and sustainable development, values that align closely with the objectives of our program.

Although the training is independent of Auroville and any local institutions, we have chosen this environment to take advantage of the context and experience it offers. Auroville serves as a living laboratory where material and spiritual research is conducted for the realization of human unity. This environment provides a unique opportunity for participants to immerse themselves in a community dedicated to experimentation and innovation in areas such as ecology, education and community development.

It is important to note that while the training benefits from the context of Auroville, the program goes beyond its methodology and philosophy. Our training addresses a wide range of topics related to global justice and integral psychology, providing participants with a diverse and global perspective. The location in Auroville enriches the training experience, offering an environment that exemplifies many of the principles discussed during the program.

Therefore, conducting the training in Auroville not only allows participants to learn from the academic content, but also to experience and observe firsthand a community that is actively working towards human unity and sustainable development.

The international placement at Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) is in keeping with its reputation as one of India's most prestigious academic institutions in the field of law and justice. Located in Gujarat, a state renowned for its rich legal tradition and as a hub of economic and social development, GNLU offers an academic environment of excellence with a global perspective.

GNLU is noted for its expertise in international law, mediation and alternative dispute resolution, which are fundamental to a deep understanding of global justice. In addition, collaboration with GNLU allows participants to access a network of renowned practitioners and academics, thus enriching their education and expanding their opportunities in the field of global justice.

The collaboration between the University of Barcelona (UB) and the Institut Nodal stems from the desire to create an academic program of excellence that integrates university rigor with an applied and innovative vision of global justice and integral psychology. The UB brings its academic solvency and institutional recognition, while the Institut Nodal, with its trajectory and experience in the field of relational global justice, enriches the training with practical methodologies and transformative experiences, bridging the gap between Barcelona and India. Moreover, the Nodal Institute is the only institution accredited to offer training in the relational nodal model.

Institut Nodal is distinguished by its ability to articulate a global network of professionals and researchers, creating bridges between academia and other fields of intervention, such as community work, mediation, education and international cooperation. This synergy allows participants not only to acquire theoretical and methodological knowledge, but also to access an international community committed to innovation in global justice. Thus, the program becomes a space where different ways of understanding and applying the relational approach are connected, favoring the creation of new modes of intervention and research that respond to current global challenges.
